This has always been a place of mine, ever since my childhood days. Their food is always delicious, nothing really has changed - maybe owners? I'm not sure. I always get #46 or #48, both w/ clear noodles. That's the best IMO. I've tried their regular white noodles w/ it, just no reason and it tasted horrible. Would not recommend. Whether or not you decide to dine in or do take out, the food quality is still 100%. There's also a supply chain issue w/ crabs so unfortunately, they have replaced that w/ shrimps. Not a huge fan...but it'll do for now. Service is really not the best, but I don't think that's all of a surprise. Parking can be a hassle. They have a few spots available on the side of the restaurant, and I've seen a few cars literally parked right next to the window...parallel parking that is. Weird. Other than that, you can do side street parking nearby. Restaurant is outdated and not the cleanest but if you're looking for a good hu tieu place, I highly recommend it.

I've been coming here ever since I was a kid and this place still holds a good place in my heart and tummy! My go-to is the combination tapioca noodles but the dry version with the soup on the side. One ordering. Don't forget to ask for an extra serving of special sauce and crispy pork fat. It's decadent but obviously delicious.. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is also one of my favorites in town and I get it every time as well. Highly recommend this local joint and don't be deterred from it's surroundings! It's in the sorta the cuts, but well worth it. At least for me (:

This still my favorite hu tiêu noodle especially the dry clear noodle one! It is located in San Jose downtown with limited parking but I always parked either on the side or on the street. They are usually busy during lunch times so dinner is best to come for a quick comfort bowl of noodle. They had other foods such as rice plate, bun, and appetizer but they are known for their dry clear noodle for years. The flavors just hit right every times with their house sauce on the noodle. It comes with 3 large shrimp, chickens and pork meat. I always goes every month, at least once or twice a month!

This place is a childhood favorite of the BF. It's also nostalgic for him since it's one of the places his father would take the family before going on a trip. He hasn't dined here in over 10 years and the parking is still as crappy as he remembered it; its downtown what do you expect. The menu for the most part is very straight forward with the choices and options, we were here for the Hieu Tieu. We came here right when they opened and we were the 2nd table being served while they were putting together a large togo order. Staff was friendly and they accepted credit cards. I ordered the non dry Hieu Tieu with regular noodles and the BF ordered the wet with clear noodles. The prawns were huge, portions were generous even for the small size, broth was flavorful, meat wasn't dry tasting, and the noodles had a nice chewy bite to them. Both were delicious and even though we ordered the small, there was still leftovers to take with us. Come early to catch a good parking spot.

Out of town and looking for authentic Vietnamese food? Come to Đa Lạt in DTSJ Price: No. 59 - Mì Đa Lạt Đặc Biệt (Special Egg Noodle Soup w/ Jumbo Shrimp, Crab Leg & Meat) $15.95. Tina's Tip: Ask for steamed/blanched bean sprouts. I got this dish dry meaning soup on the side with their special sauce. Good for a quick bite. Enjoy!
